Hello, my name is Ruby, and I am a professional and ACA registered counsellor, originally from the UK, I now live and work in Mandurah in WA with my family. With many years of experience working with individuals with disabilities along with having lived experience with mental health and being touched by suicide from a very early age, I strive to make a difference in the lives of others. My additional qualifications in suicide intervention and prevention, (ASIST), abortion grief counselling, Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1, psychosocial interaction, individualised support - aged care (Cert IV) and living and working with people with disabilities, (Cert IV).

My journey has taken me from being a Disability Support Worker/Team Leader to becoming a disability professional and an ACA registered counsellor. I am committed to helping individuals understand these challenges and fostering a more collaborative approach to addressing and overcoming them. I understand the difficulties both in a professional setting and in daily life. Having an extensive understanding of people with intellectual disabilities, ADHD, ADD, ABI’s, personality disorders, schizophrenia, and Down Syndrome, allows me to provide the therapeutic approach suited to support not just the individual, but their direct supports & families.

Also, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach, I am dedicated to helping couples to strengthen their relationships and navigate life’s challenges together in a safe and supportive space where partners can express themselves openly and work toward mutual understanding and growth.

By using effective communication, rebuilding trust, and resolving conflicts, I tailor every session to the unique needs of each couple.
